Abstract
The coronavirus pandemic has led to the drastic transformation of the delivery of instruction from the traditional in-person instruction to virtual platforms which in turn challenged instructional designers to create learning materials that are suitable for online distance learning. In this paper, a teaching and learning blueprint guided by the principles of constructivism and Gagne’s nine events of instruction was designed based on the first three stages of the ADDIE instructional design model. The blueprint was evaluated by three subject matter experts that revealed an I-CVI of 1.00, an S-CVI/Ave of 1.00, and an interrater reliability index of 80% through percent agreement. With the results as basis, the blueprint has an excellent content validity and an acceptable interrater reliability index. This should provide evidence to the effectivity of the ADDIE instructional design model as a guide in the creation of a teaching and learning blueprint that is valid and reliable.
