Abstract
This study is entitles " Managerial Functions of Head Nurses and the Level of PErformance of Staff Nurse in TErtaary Hospitals of Region XII". THis study used descriptive research cesign, conducted to detrmine the extent of performance of the managerial functions of Head nurses as perceived by nurse supervisors and staff nurses. THis study also identifies the level of performance of staff nurses as perceived by head nurses and patients. This study determines the significant relationship between the managerial functions of head nurses and the level of performance of staff nurses. Evaluation of the managerial functions of head nurses focused on planning, organizing, directing, and controlling, while the level of performance of staff nurses was appraised in terms of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
