Abstract
ABSTRACT: This paper is a research on the Regressional Analysis of the Nursing Aptitude Test, the cumulative Weigthed Percentage Average from all the =core Nursing subjects beginning from the individual respondent's first year to his/her fourth year in Nursing, and the colleges, and the College Scholastic Aptitude Test. The population size for this study is 165 resondnets. All of whom are fourth year Bachelor of Science in Nursing students of the College of Nursing of the Ateneo de Davoa University during the school year 2004-2005, they are members of the Pioneering Class of Ateneo de Davao's College of Nursing. With the use of Pearson r as one of the statistical treatments, the researcher was able ot determine the strength of the relationship between the independent variables, namely the NAT, the cumulative WPA, and the CSAT scores to the independent variables, which is the performance of the student in the pre-board exam as the determinant used in their predicted passing to the Nurse Licensure Examinations. In order to establish the best predictive equation or model, regression analysis was employed using the stepwise method. After careful data treatment, the researcher hereby presents supporting data that affirms the strength of the student's cumulative WPA, seconded by the NAT in the determining the strength to the student's passing the Nurses Licensure Examination. This research was done and was completed at Ateneo de Davao University, College of Nursing.
