    Caring behaviour rendered by Generation X and Generation Y clinical instructors of Ateneo de Davao University

    The research study was entitled "Caring Behaviour rendered by Generation X and Generation Y Clinical Instructors of Ateneo de Davao University" its focus is to determine the Caring Behaviours that Ateneo de Davao University Clinical Instructors possess. Jean Watson's Ten Carative Factor was used as the basis of the Caring Behaviours which were identified. Jean Watson's Ten Carative Factor were (l)Humanistic-altruistic system of value, (2)Faith-hope, (3)Sensitivity to self and others, (4)Helping-trusting, Human care relationship, (5)Expressing positive and negative feelings, (6)Creative problem-solving caring process, (7)Transpersonal teaching-learning, (8)Supportive, protective, and/or corrective mental, physical, societal, and spiritual environment, (9)Human needs assistance, and (10)Existential-phenomenological-spiritual forces. The research team would like to be knowledgeable on how the Ateneo de Davao University Clinical Instructors render nursing care in accordance to the different caring concept that Jean Watson presented in her theory and if the past and present generations of nurses had different approaches to the Caring Behaviour. The research team used Static Group Comparison, Non-experimental Design, Descriptive type of survey wherein the two types of respondents undergone the survey at the same time. Fifty-six Clinical Instructors were surveyed; thirty-four of them belonged to Generation X while 10 belonged to Generation Y. Using Frequency distribution test and T-test, the data was being compared. The data showed that there is no significant difference in the Caring Behaviours Generation X and Generation Y Clinical Instructors of Ateneo de Davao University.
